2010 Decennial Census Partnership Program

an image Partnership Specialist Bob Aguilar Jr. has been actively recruiting Partners for the U. S. Census Bureau in the San Angelo region since the winter of 2009. He has already established Partners in 20 counties in West Central Texas.

The next step in the process has already begun with the hiring of three Partnership Assistants to help Bob Aguilar establish and develop a 'Complete Count Committee" in each of these 20 counties. The Partnership Assistant program is the direct result of the recent stimulus package.

The role of a 'Complete Count Committe' is to plan and implement local outreach efforts to publicize the importance of the 2010 Census. The Partnership Assistants will guide and assist the Complete Count Committees in in implementing local, targeted efforts that will uniquely address the special characteristics of their community.
